Nauticam has announced the NA-Z50II, a new underwater housing crafted specifically for the Nikon Z50 Mark II DX-Format mirrorless camera with the Nikon Z DX 16-50mm Lens.  The Nikon Z50 Mark II is the ideal entry-level system camera for anybody stepping up from a smaller sensor compact or micro four thirds system.  The camera has a 20.88 megapixel DX-format CMOS sensor and inherits the Expeed 7 processor from the Nikon Z9 providing a powerful advanced autofocus system.

The Nauticam NA-Z50II Underwater Housing

Crafted from aluminium, the Nauticam NA-Z50II Underwater Housing has been designed to be lightweight yet durable.  Nauticam's attention to detail focuses on enhancing the ergonomics of the housing, putting all of the camera's key controls at your fingertips.  The sleek, travel-friendly design includes a fixed flat port optimised for the Nikon Z DX 16-50mm Lens.   A bayonet mount on the flat port allows you to connect Nauticam's range of premium water contact wet lenses with ease, meaning you can shoot wide-angle and macro on the same dive.  

Built in Port and Wet Lens Compatibility The NA-Z50II's dedicated port is fitted with a bayonet mount so that you can easily attach the Nauticam WWL-C Wet wide lens giving you a super-wide field of view of up to 130° at 16mm down to 49° when the lens is set to 50mm.  For detailed macro, remove the WWL-C and attach the CMC-1 and you can achieve up to 0.9x magnification on subjects as close as 45.5mm.

 

Strobe Firing

The NA-Z50II housing includes two fibre optic port connectors for fibre optic cable attachment.  

Space is provided inside the housing for the camera's in-built pop-up flash which can be deployed by a control on the back of the housing.  

Compatible with optically triggered strobes, we recommend a pair of  Retra Strobes or a pair of the Backscatter Hybrid Flash HF-1
